Frequently Asked Questions
What is couples intimacy coaching?
Couples intimacy coaching is an intention process of establishing a foundational framework around sex and then dialoguing on concerns, techniques, and exercises to help improve your sex life. The formate is very similar to talk therapy, although I make no claim to be a licensed clinical therapist. The coaching that I offer is more geared toward empowering solutions and action plans. I cannot stress enough that I try to create an environment where you and your partner will feel comfortable discussing anything related to sex. It truly is a judgement-free environment. Every part of you is welcome at Red Loveseat, even the parts you don’t find appealing.
What are some examples of topics that we could discuss?
Everything starts with the foundational framework around sex
Spicing up the bedroom/addressing sexual boredom
Sexual repression that resulted from religion
Identifying turn ons and foreplay
Exploring fantasies
Orgasm difficulties
Kink and fetishes
Decreasing sexual shame while increasing openness and curiosity
Compulsive Sexual Behaviors
Masturbation and using toys
Touch, sensation, and connecting to the body
Or any other sexual conversations in which you don’t feel comfortable discussing with others in your life. Literally…let’s talk about anything from LGBTQ+ to non-monogamy. I promise you that nothing is off limits.
What will the first session look like?
As much as we might want to dive into some great topics in our first session, I have found that the best place to start the conversation is on the foundational framework for great sex. Trust me, its worth it!
Confidentiality
100% confidential!!!!! This is a place where you can feel seen and safe, while knowing the conversation does not leave the room!
Pricing
I charge $45 per session, which applies the same for in-person or a video session. I do not offer a sliding scale nor do I take insurance. Couples intimacy coaching is an investment that has a powerful return in your life. I hope that you see it more as a lifetime of rewards rather than a temporary monetary cost.
Diversity
I want to serve everyone and create a safe and confidential space for great conversations on sexuality. Although I am not a licensed therapist, I follow the same code of ethics of the American Counseling Association in reference to diversity by promoting non-discrimination by race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, height, weight, physical or mental ability, veteran status, military obligations, and marital status.
In-person sessions or video sessions?
I offer in-person sessions at my office in Greenville, SC (198 Roper Mountain Road Extension Suite B Greenville, SC 29615). It’s there that you will be able to sit on the special “red loveseat” for each session. Video sessions are a wonderful alternative that does not limit you to travel to the Greenville area.
